Tuesday, November 22, 2016

The proposed facility includes office, design, engineering and vehicle testing space and car parking.

There will also be a welcome centre, a fuel farm building, an electricity substation and alterations to the existing mileage accumulation facility.

The latest application forms part of the Whitley South development, a joint initiative between Jaguar Land Rover and Coventry City Council, which will see the transformation of the car maker’s Coventry site and the surrounding area.

The application supports Jaguar Land Rover’s long-term strategy to expand its advanced engineering and design centre at Whitley and would also create additional high-quality research and development space.

Wider development could also accommodate other businesses in the form of supply chain partners working alongside the car maker.
