Senior CNC Programmer 

Our Client that is a Midlands-based manufacturer of exceptional bespoke furniture and joinery. Since 1992 we have worked continuously with the Royal Household and were granted a Royal Warrant in 2003.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior / Lead CNC Programmer.

You will be responsible for optimising CNC output, managing workflows and supporting the workshop.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create, prepare and optimise CAM programmes for 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machinery.

• Select appropriate tooling, speeds, materials and machining strategies to maximise efficiency and quality.

• Plan and coordinate CNC activities in conjunction with production

• Support estimating and project teams by advising on CNC-related costs and production implications.

• Prepare accurate works orders, drawings and documentation, ensuring information is clear, complete and easily retrievable. Skills & Experience Essential

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in CNC programming (3-axis and 5-axis).

• Understanding of Autocad, 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Rhino or ideally Pytha.

• Strong understanding of furniture and joinery construction.

• Ability to read and interpret 2D and 3D technical drawings. • Experience working with flatbed CNC machines.

• Excellent planning, organisation and prioritisation skills. Desirable: • Knowledge of Biesse CNC machines and B Solid.

• Knowledge of timbers, veneers, manufactured boards and substrates.

• Experience operating a wide range of woodworking machinery and fittings
