Job Description

The Quality Conformance Engineer is responsible for

  • Compliance to Quality Management  business process IATF 16949 / ISO 9001
  • Compliance to Health Safety & Environmental Policies and Procedures
  • Ensuring that customer requirements and expectations have been accurately identified, and meeting or exceeding the company’s and customer expectations. 
  • 3D Scanning Capabilities (e.g. Faro Arm, Scanning Ball, Handheld 3D Scanners)
  • Understanding of GD&T (Customer Drawings and Specifications)
  • CMM experience
  • Understanding of Measuring Software (e.g. Polyworks, PC Demus, etc.)
  • Engaging in quality related issues, support driving problem solving techniques for customer complaints, corrective actions, and all other quality issues (knowledge of 8D, - Root cause Analysis : Ishikawa, 5-Why, etc.)
  • Internal Auditor (advantage).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assessing product in accordance with specifications and customer requirements 
  • Ensuring compliance with national and international standards 
  • 3D Scanning (Faro Arm) of products for ………..
    • Production,
    • Development
    • New Parts
  • Supporting internal and External (Customer Meetings)

The above is not a defined listing of activities, as all Quality dept team members are expected to be flexible in supporting other Quality tasks as well as being flexible to work hours needed to complete specific tasks.

 

 

Criteria for Conformance Engineer

 

Qualifications\ Education\ Knowledge

 

Minimum of 5 years 3D Scanning experience (essential), and CMM / Conventional measuring

Minimum of 5 years Automotive experience (preferable)

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in CNC machining / Aluminum Die Castings (preferable)

Conversant with ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 / ISO 14001 / Health & Safety management standards

 

Experience

As above and………….

Product measurement techniques, e.g., Faro Scanning, CMM and conventional inspection methods

Experience with supplier quality assessment, audit, 5s audits & system audits of the Business Management System (BMS)

Excellent communicator with good supervisory, management and networking capabilities

Evaluate & analyse issues relating to customer and internal quality complaints, supporting corrective actions and preventive measures/actions.

Internal Auditing (not essential)

 

Abilities

Computer skills (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, etc.)

Good written and verbal communication skills.

People Skills: The individual maintains confidentiality, remains open to others’ ideas, and exhibits willingness to try new things.

Be extremely professional, customer friendly and amenable.

Able to drive with a clean / full UK driving license.
