Maintenance Control Engineer

Job Description

  • Assist with the set-up and operation of planned preventative maintenance procedures.
  • Undertake planned preventative maintenance as required.
  • Ensure that breakdowns are responded to in a prompt and efficient manner.
  • Assist with the set-up of emergency procedures for machine breakdowns.
  • Understand and execute defined emergency procedures in the event of machine breakdown in order to minimise downtime.
  • Assess and minimise risks associated with maintenance issues.
  • Ensure all software is backed up and stored correctly.
  • Ensure that clear work instructions are available for key equipment.
  • Adhere to Company policy, operating to defined procedures and work instructions.
  • Be aware of and ensure compliance with applicable Health and Safety regulations.
  • Work closely with the Maintenance Manager to analyse downtime and overall equipment effectiveness.
  • Perform any other duties as reasonably requested by the Maintenance Manager/Supervisor.

    Liaise with customers and suppliers at all levels as and when needs arise.

  • Build effective client relationships, ensuring that the image presented suitability represents the high standards required by the Company.

    Gain a clear understanding of customer quality standards and operate within audit process that ensure both Customer and client expectations are met.

  • Recommend improvements to working processes or equipment where opportunities arise, undertaking or assisting with their implementation where requested.
  • Co-ordinate and provide feedback on process and equipment improvements to the appropriate authority.
