Logistics Broker
Genesis are looking for a Logistic broker for our client in Hinckley. Its is a 4PL logistics business that provide managed transport solutions to a wide range of customers in manufacturing, retail and Logistics. You will need to fulfil customer’s distribution needs from a single pallet to a complete nationwide distribution service.
We are currently looking to recruit an experienced transport broker / trader to join our existing operations team within a busy subcontract haulage operation.
Main Duties:
- Resource / allocate loads on a daily basis achieving best possible margin.
- Ensure deliveries are scheduled on time and in line with customer expectations.
- Proactively look for other work through various trading platforms in use at X2
- Engage with new and existing customers to drive repeat business.
- Maintain regular contact with X2 haulier base to ensure continuous supply.
- Monitor delivery performance and notify customers with any delays.
- Work to set targets in line with operational KPI’s.
- Ensure all information is accurate and up to date within TMS (Mandate)
- Duty on call on a rota basis.
Skills / Experience:
- Be fully PC literate with knowledge of common Microsoft systems and aptitude to quickly learn other transport management systems.
- Extensive experience in negotiating transport rates with subcontractors
- Be fully conversant with the legislation around driver’s hours, vehicles and Working Time directive.
- A detailed knowledge of the transport & General Haulage market across the UK
- Good geographical knowledge of the UK
- Excellent telephone skills

Pay: £34,000.00-£36,960.00 per year
Additional pay:
Monday- Friday 8am – 5pm
